As you all probably know, I’ve been hanging out in Miami! I came to attend the BlogHer Food Conference and hang out with my blogging friends! I’m not sure if you realize this or not, but I know other bloggers and they are my actual real-life friends! Blogging has connected me with some wonderfully talented people and I’m legitimately friends with these folks you’re going to see in these next few photos 🙂 We had a couple parties, enjoyed each other’s company and ate our way through the city! Here’s what I’ve done so far:

I flew into Miami Wednesday evening and let me tell you, this was the most comfortable traveling outfit in the world. Flip flops, leggings, grey jersey tunic, jean jacket and scarf. On planes, I’m either boiling or freezing so I layer my clothes. This was taken in the Dallas airport and lemmetellyou, there were tons of people giving me hilarious looks! OH well. Ha!!

I roomed with these lovely ladies over the conference: Barbara, Amanda and Jenny. Love love love these girls and their blogs 🙂

Friday evening, I hosted a party for Stitch Fix. It was so fun to see all the gorgeous samples they have and eat delicious food with some veteran {and new!} bloggers.

We had our party at a wine bar, Bin 18. Open faced cuban sandwiches, ya’ll. OMG. Their cheese board was also fantastic.

A few of us gals headed over to The Morgan’s Restaurant the next morning and seriously devoured their Brioche French Toast. If you are going to be in Miami like EVER, go here and get the french toast. The cinnamon butter on top is amazing!

I also got a pretty delish grilled cheese sandwich.

Oh, aaaaand, we also tried the chocolate dipped waffle too. This place was divine.

On Thursday, I got caught in a rain storm and lost my shoe. Then on Friday, I miraculously found it in the street!! Funniest story ever. How unbelievable is that?! Someone buy me a lotto ticket.

Sunday afternoon, I got to hang out with some of my friends for lunch! This is Lauren from Climbing Grier Mountain. Love her!! And get it, L squared?! Bahaha….cough cough…I’m such a loser.

We all enjoyed adorable mini cupcakes from Buttercream Cupcakes too. How cute are all these girls?

I highly recommend the red velvet and chocolate peanut butter!!

Saturday afternoon I became ridiculously obnoxious on Instagram, and did a little bakery hopping with Jenny, Amanda and Barbara plus the folks over at Clique Me. These goodies came from Sweetness Bakeshop. The chocolate chip cookie was filled with fudge!!

Next up was Janette & Co for some beautiful macarons! These little cookies were just divine and tasted amazing. They were light, sweet and chewy! Seriously so dreamy. The hazelnut, nutella, orange blossom and lemon were my favorites.

Last on our list for the day was Azucar Ice Cream. This is cuban ice cream!! It’s so creamy and sweet. I couldn’t eat very much because I was all sugared out, but what I did try was delicious.

Be sure to ask for samples too 🙂 It’s always good to make an informed decision! Ha!

Saturday night was the closing party of the conference. Jaden was hilarious, as per usual and I loved catching up with her even if it was for only a couple of minutes.

I also quickly caught up with Nikki from Seeded at the Table. She has a son that is 2 weeks older than Blake 🙂 So, we mostly talk about blogs and our babies! Lol! photo 3 (2)

That night we had a little after party with some more blogging friends 🙂 There are so many amazing bloggers I know…it’s hard to see them all and catch up! This massive selfie is one of my favorite photos I took all weekend.

Sunday morning, Deborah, Barbara, Jenny, Amanda and I tried out Michael’s Genuine Food & Drink . This was peanut butter french toast with roasted bananas and bacon….sooooo good! I’d also highly recommend the blueberry lemon bars.

Gordon flew in Sunday morning too and caught up with us after our brunch. We walked around South Beach, checked out some fun shops, said our goodbyes and headed out. All my friends went home and Gord and I are staying until Wednesday! I’m suuuuper pumped to be on vacation with my hubby and NO KIDS! Woot. It’s only taken us 6 1/2 years, but we’ve made it!!

Anyways, we’ll be here for a few more days enjoying the sun and delicious food. If you have a restaurant recommendation, be sure to send it my way!

New recipe to come tomorrow!! Hope you all had a great weekend 🙂

And special thanks to Stitch Fix for bringing me to Miami for this conference! I had a wonderful time.

So glad that you’re enjoying Miami. As a local here are some of my recommendations — SUGARCANE raw bar grill & bocce bar in Midtown, Haven for after dinner drinks (great music, LED light show), Huahua’s a street taco place right next door, Broken Shaker if you’d like a great bar (frequently voted as one of the best in the country), Tongue + Cheek, so many to choose from.
