Screen Shot 2013-06-11 at 9.08.49 PMThis past weekend, I went to a blogging conference called BlogHer Food in Austin Texas! This is a quick recap of the weekend I had. Oh my gracious, I packed a whole lot into four short days!! And, special thanks to PretzelCrisps who sponsored me to go!Screen Shot 2013-06-11 at 9.08.33 PM Thursday morning, I was up and ready to go with Blake! Of course he was a trooper traveler and slept the entire way! Love my little dude!IMG_0022Through the weekend, I was mostly hanging out with JessicaIMG_0055and Tina! I love these girls so much! Blogging friends are the best and these girls are the definition of hilarious. I honestly laughed my way through the conference! Screen Shot 2013-06-11 at 9.08.43 PMI’d also like to take a minute to point out that my baby is growing like a weed. He looks so much older to me than 5 weeks here! Time needs to stand still! Eeps!!Screen Shot 2013-06-11 at 9.08.58 PMOf course I documented just about everything I shoveled into my face…just like any food blogger would do! LOL! This was a pork tenderloin covered in grilled pineapple and green chile salsa. Screen Shot 2013-06-11 at 9.09.04 PMThis is eggs benedict with chipotle hollandaise sauce. So amazing and spicy! Texans don’t mess around their spice, let me tell you!  IMG_0028These were doughnuts the size of my face. More details about all these restaurants coming soon!

I was also lucky enough to attend a dinner with a bunch of my blogging friends, including the wonderful and always lovely Pioneer Woman. Amy is holding Blake in this photo with Jenny and Ree looking on.IMG_0166And then there’s this photo. I have no clue what Ree said, but it was most likely pretty funny. I should have a caption contest for this photo. Forreals.Screen Shot 2013-06-11 at 9.18.42 PMSoon after I snapped those pics, Blake got passed down the line and Ree held onto him until he fell asleep in her arms! It was the sweetest thing! Screen Shot 2013-06-11 at 9.08.05 PMPhoto courtesy of Amanda

The next day, there were a group of us who wanted to do a little more exploring, so off we went! IMG_0208One stop we made was to Sugar Mama’s Bakery. So so good, you guys!! Again, more details to come on that very soon! This photo basically describes food bloggers in a nut shell. Table full of goodies, everyone taking pictures, then editing and sharing the photos they took on their phones. It’s really nice to be around people who do exactly what I do! We got a lot of looks for sure!!IMG_0172I was able to attend a few more events that day and Jenny missing her little baby, Pax, gladly took Blake off my hands for a few minutes! Thanks, Jenny!  Screen Shot 2013-06-11 at 10.17.04 PMPhoto courtesy of Jessica.

Overall, it was an amazing few days and I was so glad to visit Texas and almost literally sweat my face {and butt} off.

I love the pics of the food you ate! My stomach is growling just from seeing them! Love pretzel crisps plain or with dips – they’re so good!

Those look like so much fun! I think that is so cool how you guys all meet up for those conferences and get to be around people who do what you do. When I tell people I have a blog, they kind of look at me funny!

I’d like to eat them straight out of the bag. I’m eager to check out the cookbook for more ideas. Thanks for the giveaway!

Straight out of the bag! Sometimes when I’m feeling not lazy, I stir together grainy Dijon mustard and honey and make some dip for the crisps.

I haven’t had the chance to try them yet so winning would be ideal!! I would love to make some recipes with them like crushing them up for a chicken breast coating…yummy.
