Family outing to VooDoo Doughnuts- Portland, OR

Yesterday, we met up with some friends in Portland and did a mini food tour. I’ve been dying to go to a few of these places I’ve been hearing about on the Food Network and the Cooking Channel. We went all over, but right now I want to talk about VooDoo Doughnuts.
We got there, and surprise surprise! There’s a line. These doughnuts are so popular and so famous that of course we have to wait!
So after we get up to the counter, we have to choose what doughnuts we want. This is their menu board! Insane, right?! Do you know how many kinds and flavors they have? A LOT.
We finally decide, get our sweet little babies wrapped up and head outside. Do these two look excited or what?
So here are the kinds we got! The ones with the stars are our favorites. We were going to get a dozen, but then I thought: “Do three people really need 12 dougnuts?” so we got 9 instead! HAHA!
My little one went straight for the one covered in fruit loops!
We definitely ate most of these ourselves! Yeah, we weren’t feeling too hot on the ride home, though! Both Gordon and I agreed that our favorite was the Portland Cream Doughnut {just like a Boston Cream}. My second favorite was the Lemon Chiffon Crueler. {It was amazing and SO lemony!} Of course all the doughnuts were delicious! Who doesn’t like a doughnut, right?
If you ever come to Portland, go get yourselves some of these! Voo Doo Doughnuts is a very cool place to visit 🙂
Now, I’m ready for a nap! Ha!

i live over in gresham for most of my life and i still have yet to go here. A friend told me that there’s about always a line.
There is also a second voodoo donuts that is a bigger store front. i’ve been to that one, but was middle of the night and didn’t have a lot to pick from.
I LOVE VooDoo Doughnuts 🙂 The Chocolate Oreo/PB one is my favorite. Glad you guys had a good time!
