These fast and easy Gluten-Free Cinnamon Rolls are super yummy and don’t taste like they are gluten-free AT ALL! GF eaters rejoice!

I made these Gluten Free cinnamon rolls on Saturday {after cleaning the floor} and they were good. Very good, in fact.
I didn’t bother with the different ‘gums’ you can add into gluten free dough to create a similar texture to gluten…because I didn’t feel like it. I just made some biscuit dough with a little yeast {for flavor} and rolled them up like cinnamon rolls. Ready in less than an hour, baby!
You cannot tell they are gluten free. Obviously the texture is more like a biscuit, but besides THAT, they taste mighty fine. I really like the gluten free flour blend I used.
If you want the real deal and aren’t on the gluten free train, I would highly recommend my Cinnabon Cinnamon Rolls. They are life changing. For everyone else, give these a whirl!
Here’s how you make them:

**Recipe update: Due to feedback from you readers, I can say that this recipe will work with ONLY Pamela’s GF Flour Blend. The ratios of ingredients in those mixes of GF Flour blends is too different, unfortunately when compared to Pamela’s. If you plan on making this recipe, please use Pamela’s.

Yummy sweet and cinnaminy layers of goodness that are all slathered with frosting. These were super yummy and didn’t taste like they were gluten free AT ALL! I was amazed. The texture was different because I made these more like a biscuit than a traditional roll {like I mentioned above}, but overall, you gf eaters should enjoy these. PLUS you can’t beat the ‘ready under an hour’ deal! #soawesomeIwanttodie #jkaboutdying Here’s the printable:

Fast & Easy Gluten Free Cinnamon Rolls
Ingredients
For the dough:
- 1 cup warm milk
- 1 1/2 teaspoons quick-rise yeast
- 2 1/2 cups gluten free all purpose flour blend or regular all purpose flour
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup cold butter cubed
For the filling:
- 1/4 cup melted butter
- 1 tablespoon cinnamon
- 2/3 cup packed brown sugar
For the frosting:
- 1 oz. cream cheese
- 2 tablespoons softened butter
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 teaspoon corn syrup
- 1/2 teaspoon lemon juice
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar + 2 tablespoons
Instructions
For the dough:
- Stir yeast into warm milk with a pinch of sugar and set aside to proof. In a large bowl, stir flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda and salt together until combined.
- Cut cold butter into dry ingredients until butter pieces are very small {the size of small peas}. Pour in warm milk mixture and stir until dough comes together.
- Pour dough out onto floured work surface. Roll dough out to be a 16 x 20 inch rectangle {approximately}. Spread melted butter overtop dough and sprinkle with brown sugar and cinnamon. Roll up gently but tightly. Cut off uneven ends. Cut roll into 2, then 4, then 8. Each roll should be about 1/2-2 inches long.
- Place into greased baking sheet and cover with clean kitchen towel. Preheat oven to 400 degrees and place pan of rolls on top of warm oven to rise slightly. Once oven in preheated, remove towel and bake 15-20 minutes until rolls have grown and the tops have browned.
For the frosting:
- Place all ingredients into a large bowl and whip until smooth.
- Spread frosting over warm rolls and serve.

Unable to roll up the dough after it was rolled out. Maybe should change “any GF flour “ to “Pamela’s” in the actual ingredients
Simple GF cinnamon roll recipe- 5 year old approved! Next time I will probably reduce the amount of sugar in the cinnamon/sugar filling as it was a bit sweet for us as we usually eat a lower sugar diet. Nice texture and flavor to the roll itself- I used Pamela’s gf flour I happened to have on hand.
Made these tonight and they are great! I used a 1-1 GF flour – not the recommended brand and they turned out great. 😊
Idk why people aren’t happy with other flours. I’ve made this recipe for years and only use bobs red mill gluten free 1:1. Delicious and perfect every time.
Hey Lauren thank you for posting this recipe. Pamela has a new look to her packaging. I have looked but I’m unsure if her one-to-one is the same that you used. Looking forward to making.
Thanks
Melissa
Amazing! Thank you
This was amazing!! I used Bob’s Red Mill 1 to 1 Baking Flour. It’s so soft and yummy!!!
I noticed on your non gf recipe, you used BUTTERMILK does that work with the GF version or no?
I’ve never tried it with these, but I don’t see why it wouldn’t work?!
I made these into a savory pizza roll just by reducing the sugar by half and adding another 2 Tbsp pizza seasoning to the dough. Rolled out, cheese (dairy free for me) and a topping and baked as directed. Dipped in sauce after it baked. Delicious! Can’t wait to try as a cinnamon roll—so easy to roll out!!
I was doing good until the rolling. The dough completely fell apart. I was still able to get them rolled by smushing it together. I cut them into 8. They didn’t rise at all while under the towel in a warm place. I baked them for 20 minutes and they fell apart and turned into mush. I’ve tried 5 gluten free cinnamon roll recipes and they’ve all been a disaster. It shouldn’t be this difficult lol
I used Bob’s 1 to 1 GF flour and they came out sooooo yummy! I love the idea of adding yeast to biscuit dough! For the frosting, I used 2 T milk instead of the lemon juice and corn syrup, and added a dollop of sour cream.
I found this recipe last week and made a batch for the holidays. I used Premium Gold Ancient Grain GF flour and it worked great! I have a double batch ready to go in the oven now. For a good GF cinnamon roll, I had to drive 30 minutes and pay $6.00 each! Now I can make my own at home. My non-GF husband approves as well! Thank you so much for the recipe! 🙂

I would like to try the flour mix, we absolutely love Pamela’s pancake mix. It is amazing
I followed the directions and my dough was sooo sticky I could not roll it. I had to add at least another cup of flour!
I plan on making the cinnamon rolls this weekend for Easter morning. I know you say to use Pamela’s but I’m going to be using XO Baking All Purpose Flour which is the best I’ve ever had with all my baking goods. I’ll definitely let you know how it turns out and take some pics too.

I only have Pamela’s baking mix would it work if I just omit the leavening agents?
It seems like it would work, but I’ve never tried it. Good luck!
I would like to try Pamela’s Gluten Free Artisan All Purpose Flour Blend. I was just told that I need to be on a gluten free diet.
Id love to try these three, because I’m new to GF and still miss bread. My kiddos love cookies and so do I, this way I don’t have to cook different meals for 7 people.

Love cinnamon rolls it’s my favorite comfort food. Since I found out that I’m allergic to gluten, I’ve been trying to find a recipe for gluten-free cinnamon rolls. Thanks for this recipe I’ve waited for 5 years. I can’t wait to make them. Thanks again.?
Is it possible to make these with Pamela’s GF Baking and Pancake mix?
I followed this recipe with only one change. Instead of rolling out the dough and cutting it into traditional rolls, I rolled the dough into balls then rolled them in butter and then in the brown sugar/cinnamon mixture. Cooked at same temp for same amount of time and frosted with cream cheese frosting. My family was so impressed and wanting more! I have been using Pamelas for a couple years now but this recipe takes the cake. Ps…Pamelas gf pancake mix is perfect for biscotti.
I would love to try the GF all purpose flour. Is this product available in Canada.
