Worked, helped friends move, did house and yard chores, and enjoyed my evenings knitting and watching Downton Abbey dvd’s. Very enjoyable weekend.

I spent the weekend putting up a new fence in the front end of the farm…ok, I really just supervised BUT it was hard work πŸ˜‰

Slept late (really late), finished a book. ordered takeout. Watched Diana Nyad on TV, and started another book. Perfect day for me, no stress at all.

Had some friends over for ribs on the grill, corn on the cob and garlic biscuits. And of course apple pie for dessert. Also watched the Red Sox game on TV.
Good friends, baseball and the dogs. Doesn’t get much better than that. Hope your baby sleeps long hours every night in the future.

We took in two week-old kittens that my dad found abandoned next to our church. They have been hard work, but are SUPER cute! We already have a cat and can’t keep them, but we have a friend that’s going to take them since she just put her cat down last week πŸ™ Quite the unexpected excitement we’ve had this weekend!

Saturday we took a drive to the high desert, stopped for prime rib lunch & ended our day looking at motor homes (did you know you can write it off as a second home on your taxes?!). Sunday I did laundry and cooked. Monday I made chicken jerky for my dogs and took a long nap πŸ™‚

Friends (2 women and 5 kids) drove up to the mountains to spend time with me. We hiked in the forest, ate, molded with play clay, ate, decorated ceramic pieces to take home, ate, walked the dogs, ate, slept in, ate, sat on the deck and talked. Did I mention that we ate?

Had a GREAT weekend preparing for school tomorrow. Went to the gym, the beach, for a long walk, and to a teacher store. I made homemade pesto, kale chips, and granola bites. I prepared seating charts, created a “get to know your teacher” video for my website. Best of all, I spent some time each day with some really awesome friends! Feeling blessed as we head into a new school year! Thanks, Lauren!

I watched my husband coach his first high school football game, hung out with some of the coaches and their families, almost finished registering for our first baby, and am now currently working on lesson plans for this upcoming week. Nothing too exciting, but overall, a really good weekend!

We celebrate my son’s 2nd birthday with some some friends and today I’m reading the DMV handbook. Would much prefer reading your cookbook though. πŸ˜‰

My hubby was off and we finished a couple projects around the house on Saturday and Sunday and then today we took the kiddos to the zoo and enjoyed seeing all animals including the dinosaurs… We had a long day ….

Labor Day 2013 was very quiet for me. Hubby and daughter went fishing, so I just spent time with our two tiny, but loud, dogs and our cat. Oh, and entering this awesome contest!

My family and I got together for a last BBQ to end the summer and a farewell to me as I move back to college! Bittersweet but it was a great holiday weekend!

I worked since I’m a pre-school teacher and there’s never any REAL day off there! Then, I helped my husband with HIS job so he might have to work a few less hours. πŸ˜€ Now, I’m waiting for my son to finish football practice (first game tomorrow) so we can have dinner! I’d love to have a copy of your book!

Saturday was “mom” day. Visited my mother-in-law in the hospital and luckily was able to take her home. Visited my mom as well. Then finished off the day with a cookout with friends! Sunday was lazy with errands and a cookout/pool party in the evening. Finished off with a round of golf today!

We went to the beach with our family and I got to dip my little one’s toes in the ocean for the first time! (Also have a 4 month old little boy!)

I drive a school bus , so it’s back to school tomorrow! I stayed home all week end and bred goats with a new buck I picked up on Friday :). And have been doing canning & baking , and now to relax for the rest of the evening !

My brother was home for the weekend so we spent as much time as we could with him before he is deployed to the Philippines! We ate at our fav seafood place…and had fried pickles (major pregnancy craving) and had an ‘appetizer party’ at my grandma’s last night! Today..we did unfun stuff…organizing closets.

Worked on a new quilt for our bed, golfed with friends and exercised! Hubby is busy harvesting our almond crop, so no vacation for us!

I spent Saturday with my adult daughter. We went shopping, ate lunch at a wonderful seafood restaurant. I then kept her company while she waited on her car getting fixed!

This weekend I helped hubby close the swimming pool, checked out the class lists at the elementary school, ran a lot of errands, and finished up some kids craft projects! We’re just about ready for school to start!

The highlight of my weekend was hosting a get-together with a few friends to swap healthy recipes and tips. We sat outside under the gazebo, sampled some new recipes, and had great conversation. πŸ™‚

Helped my friend with wedding stuff, trying out her rehearsal dinner caterer and canceling her hair appt after 1 disastrous trial and rebooking with a new person that she feels more confident in. Still need to find jewelry for her wedding for myself now.
