Over the weekend, my little family of three met up with our good friends Stephanie and Troy to visit some local eateries. The list I have of places to try is seriously endless. The food scene here in Portland is a little cray cray if I say so myself, but totally in a good way. Our first stop was to Little Big Burger in the Alphabet District. This cute little restaurant is amazing! I love that their menu is small {because I’m indecisive} and I love that they only use local, organic ingredients.
My 4 year old was thrilled that we were getting burgers for lunch! This girl lives for fries….just like her momma!
My husband ordered the cheeseburger. Hello soft brioche bun!!
I got the veggie burger which was pretty darn tasty if I say so myself. I have no idea what was in it, but it was seriously delish!
And then come the truffle fries. These are probably some of the best fries I’ve ever had in my life. Like ever ever ever. And, I typically hate fry sauce, but this stuff was cold and tangy. A perfect accompaniment to the fries.
This poor thing had the hardest time opening her mouth wide enough to get this whole burger in, but she made it work!
Needless to say, we enjoyed every last bite!
If you’re in the Portland area, we’d recommend a trip to Little Big Burger. The fries are amazeballs and so are the burgers. Next time I’m getting a burger with blue cheese and bacon….and a root beer float! Mmm….

Lauren,
Great blog! I love the pictures and the food. The first time I came to your blog, you had up the recipe for Cinnabon cinnamon rolls. I’ve been hooked every since.
This post caught my eye because I happen to live in Portland. I pour through the Portland Monthly magazine always imagining going to all the wonderful sounding restaurants. Too bad there is just not enough time, money or big enough pants for me to eat at all of them. But there is time for some….

I love burgers, but don’t remember to eat them nearly often enough. I’d LOVE to go to Portland.
MMMMM truffle fries! I cant believe I never went there while I was there! Ahh, a trip to Portland is in order1
Wowza! It’s hitting lunch time here and all I can do is think about these burgers!
That burger looks AMAZING! What type of lens did you use for these photos?
What an awesome place! Is it bad that it’s breakfast time and now I’m craving these burgers?
Sounds like it is worth another trip to Portland just to try this restaurant! I am hungry for all of the above and it is not even 7 AM. Thanks Lauren!!!!
Oh my! I just realized you are near Portland! I live in Albany and go to Portland quite often. All of the food places to try is certainly overwhelming, but I can’t thank you enough for your post. I’ve got family coming in this summer and we are staying up in Portland for several days. We’ll definitely make sure to stop at Little Big Burger and try their fries 😉
