IMG_0115My daughter has no sense of time. We go over hours, days, months and  years but nothing is sticking in her itty bitty brain at the moment. I think 3 is too young to understand the complexities of a calendar. Anyways, here’s what we have coming up in 2013! Lots of things to be excited about 🙂

1. In the next few days, we’ll be closing on our first home—>eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!! {That’s me screaming like a girl.} I’m excited, my husband is excited and so is my 3 year old especially. Once she grasped the concept of being able to paint walls, she got really excited. Why? Because she’s planning on painting all the walls pink or purple. I haven’t broken the news to her that this will never happen. Also, if you follow me on Pinterest, you will notice a whole lot of pins to my Home board….because we will be doing small little renovations here and there. Nothing major at all, BUT I will be redo-ing the kitchen completely!! Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!

2. In February, my little girl will be 4. FOUR, people! Someone please stop the clock. 3 has been the most fun and I hate for it to come to end. The things this girl does and the sentences that come out of her mouth make me smile everyday! Hopefully 4 will be even better than 3. Knock on wood.

3. Late Spring, I’ll be popping out another little Brennan. This time a BOY! I feel him move all the time these days and it just makes me feel grateful. Grateful for doctors, for medicine, for patience, for determination, for my husband, for my daughter and for my healthy body. What a miracle life is. I took pregnancy for granted the first time around because it was such a fluke, but this time, I’m taking it all in and enjoying every second! Grow baby, grow!

4. After I pop out said baby, my family will come visit 🙂 Hooray for family! I love them.

5. Oh, my sister who lives in Idaho who makes cakes will be coming to visit me at the end of January. Just in time to help paint our new place!! This probably should have been number 2 on my list. Oh well.

6. In the summer, we’ll be attending 2 family reunions on my husbands side…one in Oregon and one in California. I’m excited and terrified. My memory is crap and there are a million people I’ve never met before that I get to become buddy-buddy with. I can just picture making a fool of myself. Stay tuned for embarrassing stories.

7. While we’ll be in California, we’re taking a detour and going to Disneyland! A fun surprise for my princess loving baby girl. I’m excited for her…big time!

8. I’m excited to kick my own trash getting into shape in the fall. Pregnancy definitely throws my body out of whack, so I’m already looking into different classes and gyms I could go to. I’m excited. Remind me I’m excited about this in a few months, pretty please!

9. BLOGGING!! I cannot tell you how much I love getting emails, comments and messages from all of you sweet readers! You make my day, you love my family just as much as I do and send me well wishes constantly. What a wonderful community I get to be a part of. THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart for sticking around and allowing me do something I love. I hope I can do this forever 🙂 Not literally forever, but almost that long!

9. I think that’s all I have planned for now, however I am pregnant and forget my husbands name daily.

2012 has been pretty eventful and I’m excited to see what 2013 has in store 🙂 Wishing you all a blessed and wonderful new year!

xoxo Lauren, Gordon, Brooke and Baby Brennan

What an exciting year you have planned! Congrats on the boy and the home!! We just closed on a house as well ( our 2nd) and we are totally renovating the kitchen from the ground up before we move in!! What all are you doing with your kitchen. I saw your pinterest boards and started repinning – we have very similar taste. I have been designing our kitchen in Ikea’s planner – going with cabinets from them so we can splurge on appliances and counters. Its going to be crazy renovating but I will finally have close to my dream kitchen!! Happy New Years!
