The J.M. Smucker Company sent me free product samples and asked me to blog about this product. All opinions expressed are completely my own.

A few weeks ago, I got a challenge!

A challenge?” you say?

YES! I got challenged by Pillsbury to reconnect with my family. Since we spent so much time together over the summer, it was a bit of an adjustment to have TWO kids head to school with only the baby at home to take care of. So exciting for them, but a little hard for Gordon and I getting used to not having them around!

Once everyone is home in the evening, it’s easy to just sit them in front of the TV or tablet while I tidy the house, make dinner and do the dishes. The longer my kids are in school, the easier it is to become disconnected from them. SO! Pillsbury challenged us to go technology free one evening and just enjoy baking together; something we rarely get to do.

After debating on what to make, we decided on the Pillsbury Moist Supreme Lemon Cupcakes topped with the Pillsbury Lemon Frosting. I may or may not have bribed them to choose lemon everything. Ha!

I love using these Pillsbury Baking and Frosting Mixes because they are so convenient to have around, the simple directions make it easy for my kids to help and they always turn out delicious!

Here are some of the photos I snapped from our evening together. Enjoy!

Success!!

Like I mentioned above, we used the Pillsbury Lemon Cake Mix with the Lemon Frosting and we topped these with some crushed lemon candies.

This school year, we encourage you to reconnect with your kids! Go technology free and bake up something sweet with Pillsbury.

Have a wonderful weekend! 🙂

it is always nice to have the little ones help, they really enjoy it and they are doing something not “techy”. I enjoy having my grandbaby help when i bake, he always has fun.

What beautiful children; And what a great idea to do with them! My two grown grandchildren use to help me in the kitchen and now we all have wonderful memories, as will your little ones. Thanks for the pictures and the memories.
