How have you been feeling?

Pretty good, I think, considering all the travel I’ve been doing. I’ve been away from home more often than ever these last few weeks and that really has made me homesick and physically exhausted. All the walking, sight seeing, time zone changes and jet lag have taken their toll. I’m so glad I get to be home and stay home for a few more weeks before I leave again for yet another trip. It’ll most likely be my last for a long while…and I’m super happy about that! I think all the walking has made my round ligament pain and my ankle swelling worse than usual, but I’m hoping everything returns back to normal soon 🙂

Weight gain?

Um, I don’t want to talk about it. Actually, I haven’t had a scale to weigh myself soooooo, that’s good? I go to the doctor tomorrow to see what kind of damage all those macarons and croissants I ate in Paris have done.

Exercise? Yay or Nay?

On average I’ve walked 5-6 miles daily with all this travel. The most was nearly 11 miles! Besides that, I haven’t been to the gym. I’ve been too tired. Zzzzzzzzzzz.

Cravings?

No cravings to report for these last few weeks. Probably because I was traveling and eating all the things. I remember craving ice water and cold soda a few times. Does that count?

Baby Movements?

Ohhhh yessss! Like crazy! And this baby is getting so strong! Gordon and I can feel his movements from the outside regularly and a few friends have commented that they can see the little kicks and punches from the outside. So exciting. Apparently baby is 1 1/3 pounds and the size of an ear of corn. I also think this baby is transverse in my belly, but the doctor will tell me all that tomorrow, I think.

Other Miscellaneous Thoughts:

The name game still is haunting me….not sure what to call this little dude and not getting any closer.

I’m relieved that I don’t have to travel very much any more! It was pretty taxing on my body. Also, I missed my family like crazy! Beyond day 4, I was ready to pack up and go home.

I’m still working through the jet lag. I can’t seem to keep my eyes open past 8pm and tend to wake up around 5 am. Still trying to change those hours a bit because I’m missing out on some quiet time with the husband.

Beyond that, I’m not sure there’s much else to report! I’m healthy and happy and things are just moving along 🙂 Yay baby!

Yes exercise. My first had no exercise beyond normal walking. I had a hard time losing that extra weight. I worked in a major automotive warehouse while pregnant with my second (and last). I stopped doing lifting in my third month because it was causing cramping issues but the walking I did! I must have walked 5-6 miles a day. Gained just enough weight for my baby (and afterbirth). Took no time to get my figure back…I am sure the belly dancing helped.

So yes! Exercise but make sure you ate comfortable with it. Do not strain the abdominal muscles. I ate what I wanted and was healthy as could be.

You look so cute with the ‘baby bump’. Enjoy every minute of your pregnancy. I’m 65 years old and still remember my 3 pregnancies! I loved being pregnant. Actually wish I had of had more kids! Hope you find exactly the name you want! Oh and…thanks for all your great recipes!

I’m so happy for you! What a terrible “follower” I am that this is the first I’ve heard! I have an excuse though, my daughter is pregnant with our first grandchild! So most of my “trolling” has been on Pinterest . . . so exciting to get a boy — that’s how our dominoes fell too. . .girl, girl, boy. Give yourself a break (but you know that) and best wishes!

Loved all your pictures of your trips. I didn’t know you were a food and travel blogger, silly me thought food. How awesome to be a travel blogger also. Hope you have a great next trip and time home. Have a great doctors appt. and all that walking totally evened out the eating I wouldn’t be surprised if you actually didn’t gain any or lost a few.

oooohhhh…I love the name game. Are you wanting to stick with B names? Bryce, Bryson, Benjamin, Braydon – it seems like you like solid/classic names (does that make sense?). If you don’t want 3 B’s, a name with a B sound in it might go well – Gabriel, Caleb, Jacob.
