The Joys of Motherhood

One afternoon I was cooking. Typical for me, right?
Well, half way in, my husband calls out in a frantic voice “Lauren, COME HERE!”
What on earth could be going on?
I turn the corner and into the hall and what do I see?
So, like the good wife and mother I am, I grab my camera and start clicking away.
Can you figure out what happened?
NOW do you know what happened?
Our darling daughter {bless her heart} tried to go potty herself and didn’t quite make it. So #2 ended up on our new bath mat, all down the hall and all over her. “I got poopies in my toes” ย Yes, yes you do.
I was going to mention all this in tomorrow’s blog post {which is the recipe I was making at the time this all went down} but then I thought twice.
Poopies and dinner didn’t really mesh. Lol.
You’re welcome.
PS- being a Mom is the best.
LOVE it! ๐
I got poopies in my toes. ๐
What a great mom you are!
HAAAAA!! I once woke up to my daughter having a poop beard. Being a mom IS the best! XO Lauren!!!
Time for another new mat! (There’s no way I’d throw that thing in my washer…) Potty training sucks. Period. Hope she makes it next time!!
She’s completely potty trained! She’s just stubborn and wanted to get her little pink potty out and not use the ‘big potty’ {actual toilet}. And she did this when she was supposed to be napping, so we would have helped her had we known she wasn’t asleep/heard her! She cracks me up!
This is too hilarious! No matter what she does, she’s adorable.
Oh that’s so funny, the older they get the more you will want to embarrass them! She’s such
dang computer! She’s such a cutie!
Awwwwwwwwwe – what a sweetie! This is just too cute ๐ Kids are so precious. Love the “I got poopies in my toes.” Adorable.
Oh my goodness, this post had me giggling all the way through it! Precious!
Aww that is so gross and funny!
Oh my word!! Haha that is so cute and gross at the same time. I love how you reacted — this will make for a great embarrassing laugh one day!!
haha awww poor thing! At least she keeps you smiling ๐
Oh my gosh. Please save this blog post for her future boyfriends and/or wedding toasts. She’ll love you forever. ๐
I….don’t know…what to……say…….
That is so hilarious. I love the little bum pictures. Being a mom is the best, even when there are poopies in the toes. And you are a good mom for grabbing that camera!
Classic and as a mom, I can relate to days like these.
Hang in there!
HA!! That is hilarious! Being a Mom IS awesome!
I love your husband’s panicky reaction! You were obviously the only one who could deal with that level of poopiness! And your daughter is just the cutest ever.
OK, OK…the worst thing I have experienced so far, and I know there will be much much more to come since Luke is only 1 1/2…is poopy in the tub. EW.
My husband had the pleasure of experiencing the first poop covered crib. He said it was nasty and I am surprised he survived…I really am! He told me he thought it was puke, so he stuck his finger in it and smelled it. So NOT what I would have done.
This is the hardest I’ve ever laughed at a blog. Ever.
OH. NO.
She’s gonna love you for this post when she’s 18!
Ahhhh. The joys of motherhood.
Thanks God someone invented soap all those years ago.
๐
Haha – you’ve got to love being a mom on days like this!!
Oh no!
Supposedly when I was a baby I decided to use what was in my diaper to paint my nursery walls. My parents like to tell that story all the time haha.
Adorable, but I think the bathmat needs a washing.
Omg, I have tears in my eyes from laughing. I LOVE your humor and your blog! I have a 9 month old daughter, and can’t wait for days like this!!! Thanks for the great laugh!
