Screen Shot 2013-04-18 at 9.34.55 AM1. Baby is due in 11 days. I’m getting antsy.

2. I’m pretty large……it’s ridiculous. But, still no stretch marks! YESSSSSSSS…..

3. I know lots of ladies who are having their babies and it just makes me want to have mine. Except babies aren’t usually early in my family. Brooke came right on time, so I can only assume her brother will be the same. Le sigh.

4. We just bought a juicer and have turned into crazy juice people. My favorite so far is grapefruit + cucumber + little bit of lime. So refreshing!! I’m hoping this will give me some extra energy after the baby is here. First time around, I wanted to kill myselfΒ hibernate FOREVER because I was so exhausted. Babies seriously suck the life right out of you. Figuratively. And literally.

5. My husband is taking 2 weeks of paternity leave. HOLLA. He can finish the kitchen hold the baby all he wants!!

6. My Mom will be here the first weekend in May πŸ™‚ Yippee!

7. My kitchen should be done soon after my Mom arrives, so she will be the first one to cook in there! My Mom’s cooking is the bomb, ya’ll. I’m going to try to convince her to make some of my favorite things so I can blog about them. The things I do for you!!

8. I’m still on the hunt for an upholstered glider chair that doesn’t cost over $500 that is in decent shape. I’ve been checking craigslist almost daily for all sorts of things {including this blasted chair} and I’ve realized a few things {1} A lot of people like to overprice their crap they want to sell. No, I don’t want to pay $400 for your dirty old 70’s wooden rocking chair. {2} Vintage is code for crappy–>forreals.

9. I’m trying to get my body into labor, but I’m FAILING. Clearly. Or else I would of had a baby by now. I might have to find a trampoline and give that a go. Or maybe do a little ankle rubbing and spicy food eating.

10. My hormones are raging, thus turning me into a crying, chunky hot mess….all.the.time. The other night, I was crying because my husband was going to finish the pantry before the baby’s closet. THE HORROR.

11. And the morning before that, I was crying while doing the dishes at 7 am because they hadn’t been done in a few days and they stank and I wanted to throw up.

12. I’m a real TREAT to live with, let me tell ya!

13. Three nights ago, my exhausted husband fell asleep before me and totally hit me in his sleep…on the belly. {It’s huge and hard to miss…} I said “Umm…..OW?!” I think he mumbled sorry or some other apology, rolled over and kept sleeping. Of course he doesn’t recall this at all. Figures.

14. My cough is still lingering. For the most part I don’t cough anymore, but occasionally I’ll start and can’t stop. Come on, body! Get healthy already!

15. The top photo in this post makes me excited for this little one to pop out. Can’t believe my baby is 4 already. Time flies when you’re exhausted having fun.

16. When do you all think I’m going to have this little guy? Early, on-time or late? AND, more importantly, will he be just as skilled with his crazy facial muscles as my daughter is?

I think he’ll be at LEAST right on time, if not a few days early! Those 2nd babies seem to be anxious to get out.. now the 3rd one?? He’s in NO hurry. Due today, feeling crampy and gross. YAY pregnancy! We’ve tried it all! Maybe you and I should go to lorena’s and jump on her trampoline, followed by walking 3 miles at the mall… I’m tired of being pregnant, yo! :/ I’m very excited for your non stretched out belly – mine is hopeless 2 pregnancies ago. I want your kitchen appliances, and my mom to come back to cook for me too..
p.s. your daughter is a crazy product of you and gordon – so, yeah he’s gonna be crazy too πŸ˜›

Haha…you’re hilarious! I can totally relate to the anticipation and crazy hormones. It feels like just yesterday I was a week over due and couldn’t wait to be a normal size again, but TERRIFIED about being a mom. Craziness. My how time flies…when you have no sleep. πŸ˜‰ I hope he decides to come soon, for your sake. Brooke is going to be one heck of a helpful older sister! πŸ˜€

I think he will show up a little early. Some time next week. Maybe he will make an appearance on my birthday (wednesday)! Try bouncing on a yoga ball to get things moving along, less dangerous than the trampoline.

You always make me laugh! Your little girl is adorable. She is always making the silliest faces. Your baby is going to be here so soon. I’m excited for you!

Those pictures are fantastic. What an expressive, adorable little girl! My guess is the baby will be two days early…I don’t know why, I just have a hunch. πŸ˜‰

I am remember how antsy I was at the end of my pregnancy (and guess I should since it was only 5 months ago!). I’m so excited for you! I need to try that juice combo too. It sounds great!

Who knows! I know you’re ready for that little guy to get out already. My first child was induced 9 days past my due date. My second arrived 2 weeks early (that was a lovely surprise!) and my third came 3 days before the due date. You just never know. And wow, your daughter has a ton of gorgeous hair! My kids are all bald forever. Also, I got no stretch marks with my first pregnancy and none with my second pregnancy…until I pushed that girl out. Suddenly there were marks on my lower belly. I was so mad! Ha ha. We won’t talk about the third… :-/ Good luck!

I know exactly what you mean about people price-gouging on Craigslist. But then again, some people are kind of stupid, and will pay that amount!

Instead of cruising Craigslist I would recommend looking at Goodwill, resale shops, and Salvation Army. I’ve found some amazing things there, in really good condition for great prices. I’m currently redecorating my brother’s house for him and found an entire set of mid-century modern wood bedroom furniture for a little over $300. It barely looks used. Anyway, they’re great places to start, and if it’s inexpensive enough you can reupholster (or pay someone else to).

I’m hopeful for your sake your baby is a few days early πŸ˜‰

I’m in the same boat as you trying to find an inexpensive glider/rocker… I came across this awesome blog http://www.mrswigglebottom.com/2011/07/turning-chair-into-swivel-rocker.html with directions on how to turn an IKEA chair into a rocker! The best part about the chair is it has a slipcover which can be washed! Huge bonus, which none of the expensive chairs have!! I contacted a local upholstery shop in my area and they are going to turn it into a rocker (it won’t ‘glide’ though) for around $100 πŸ™‚ Even better is that the chair can be used after baby and not look like a baby rocker πŸ˜‰ Good luck in your search!

11 days…I’m jealous! I still have 4 weeks left and it feels like forever! πŸ˜› I can definitely identify with you on the hormones, though!

Come on over! I’ll wipe off the rain from the tramp and you girls can get going. I’ll pull out the 80cc bike and you can putz around the yard, going up and over the little berms we have out there. For relaxation, we’ll throw your legs into the hot tub, and you will be all nice and toasty.

I loved this post – especially the pictures at the top. πŸ™‚

    Lauren,
Your daughter is so cute and I’m sure your son will be too. I know that at the end of the pregnancy, you can’t wait for the baby to arrive but as long as you’re both healthy – it’s all good.
