IMG_0239Is anything better than butter? BROWNED BUTTER!

If you’ve never ever made this, and then mixed it into some frosting–you need to stop what you’re doing and go make this right now. I made this cake a few weeks ago for Better Homes and Gardens blog and just DIED over the results. I love the nutty almost maple flavor that the browned butter gives in the frosting. It’s seriously so tasty! Especially with a little dash of cinnamon on top of super moist cake! Mmm….

IMG_0217If you’re wanting to brown butter, then all you do is throw some into a small saucepan, place it over medium low heat and watch it like a hawk. Once things start looking all golden, then you’re done! Super simple to do and you’ll be amazed at what a difference it makes in all sorts of recipes.

I am obsessed with browned butter! and not just for sweets. I just made browned butter brussels sprouts yesterday! Anyway, I would bake cookies or a cake for sure with this butter! What a fantastic giveaway!

I love baking with butter. Cookies esspecially are so much better when made with butter. I would for sure make a huge batch of chocolate chip cookies since I’ve been craving them, but first I would have to make that cake with this frosting. I’ve never tried browned butter so what better time to try than now.

There are too many recipes to name in my favorites that I want to make. It seems like everything I make anymore requires butter! 🙂

Well I had ankle surgery on Feb 15 and have been using crutches every since and this Friday they said I could start walking (walking cast that I got last Friday). I haven’t been able to bake or do anything in the kitchen so if I win I plan on making cookies for my husband as he has been great these last few weeks.

Well, that cake you made looks pretty good, so if I win, I might try to make that. Or maybe some Almond Butter Crunch Toffee….. yum!

Browned butter takes Rice Krispie Treats to a whole new level! And of course I would just eat most of it with a spoon first.

Hmmmmm….I just made some blueberry muffins with brown butter and they were delicious! I’d probably make scones. They are my husband’s favorite and I always like to keep some in the freezer for him!

I would saute chicken in the garlic and herb saute express, toss some zucchini or asparagus in the regular butter and roast away. I would ave totake a family ote on the desert…my eldest does no care for chocolate as much as fruity deserts, while the hubster LOVES it!

We made bacon bourbon chocolate chip blondies this weekend. Now I’m just thinking how they would’ve been even better with BROWNED butter!

Mas a primeira seria pegar um pão quente, e passar nele para comer derretendo, ah sim com certeza seria muito bom, isso lembra minha infância, quando minha avó fazia até mesmo bolo e ai passávamos manteiga, hum bom demais hein ? Lauren !!!!

I love spinach sauteed in butter with garlic, so simple and delicious, so that would be what I’d make first. Thanks for the opportunity!

Steamed asparagus and a farm fresh egg, over easy with just melted butter… the perfect spring treat. (a friend of mine won this package on another blog recently…. she is simply in love with the whole package!)
