Ingredients

For the Soup: olive oil chicken onion carrots chicken broth salt & pepper ground thyme poultry seasoning tarragon garlic powder bay leaves For the Dumplings: all purpose flour salt baking powder baking soda melted butter buttermilk

Flour Bag

Begin by heating olive oil and sprinkle chicken pieces with salt and pepper. Brown half the chicken at a time and add more oil to second half.

Remove chicken and sauté veggies about 3 mins. Add the chicken back in, and cover in broth. Mix in all the spices. 

Cover and bring to boil. Reduce heat to simmer and cook approximately 40 mins. until chicken is fully cooked. 

Remove chicken and shred, discarding extra fat and bones. Add chicken back into the pot. 

To make the dumplings, whisk flour, salt, baking soda, and baking powder together until well-mixed. Add in melted butter and buttermilk and mix until just combined. 

Drop by large tablespoon into simmering pot. Dumplings will be done after about 3 mins, once they're puffed and floating. Serve hot and enjoy!
