Creamy Lemon French Toast

Warm french toast topped with sweet lemon cream can be served for a delicious breakfast, brunch, or even dessert!

for the french toast:

  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/3 cup milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 6 slices white sandwich bread
  • butter for frying

for the lemon cream:


  • Preheat nonstick skillet over medium heat. Melt half a tablespoon of butter into the bottom.
  • In a shallow dish, whisk eggs, milk, vanilla and cinnamon together. Dip 1-2 slices of bread into the egg mixture and place into hot pan. Cook 1 minute per side or until browned. Continue this method until all french toast is cooked.
  • For the lemon cream: whip all the ingredients together until smooth.
  • Spread some lemon cream over each slice of french toast and top with sliced strawberries and/or powdered sugar. Serve immediately.
