In large pot, melt the butter and caramels on medium low heat until smooth. Add in marshmallows and stir continuously until melted. Take pot off the heat and stir in vanilla and salt. Dump in all the dry ingredients and using a sturdy spoon, mix everything until evenly coated (will be very sticky!) Pour into a greased 8x8 square baking dish. Butter your fingers and press down mixture evenly. Let cool at room temperature and cut into squares.
