  • 1 lb herb pizza dough*
  • 1/2 cup pizza sauce homemade or store-bought
  • 8 oz smoked mozzarella
  • fresh basil leaves


  • Preheat charcoal grill by lighting briquettes and heating up for 10 minutes. Spread coals evenly.
  • While grill is getting hot, spread pizza dough out on lightly greased baking sheet to be 1/2-1/4 inch thick in any shape you'd like. It doesn't have to be a perfect circle!
  • Place dough onto hot grill and cook for about 2 minutes or until top gets bubbly and bottom has grill marks. Turn dough over and work as quick as you can to spread sauce and place slices of cheese overtop. Cover with lid and cook another 3-4 minutes. Remove from grill, top with fresh basil and serve.
