Air Fryer Croutons are crisp, golden, and ready in minutes with simple pantry ingredients and big crunch payoff. Make them in the air fryer or oven for an easy topping that instantly upgrades salads, soups, or casual snacking straight from the bowl.

Ingredients

  • 8 oz day-old bread
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano or Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  • Preheat air fryer to 375° F.
  • Cut bread into even 1-inch cubes. Place in a large bowl.
  • Drizzle with olive oil, then toss with garlic powder, oregano, salt, and black pepper until coated.
  • Place in an air fryer basket in a single layer.
  • Air fry 6–8 minutes, shaking halfway, until golden and crisp.
  • Allow to cool completely before storing, or serving over salads or soups.

Notes

Makes 4 cups of croutons. Serving size and nutrition facts are based on 1/2 cup per person.

Storage Instructions

Store cooled croutons in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days. For longer storage, freeze them in a zip-top bag for up to 2 months and re-crisp in the air fryer for a few minutes.
