Equipment

Ingredients

  • 12 oz salmon two 6 oz fillets
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon rice wine vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
  • sesame seeds toasted for garnish, optional
  • green onion for garnish, optional

Instructions

  • Add salmon fillets to a shallow dish or bowl.
  • Add soy sauce, sesame oil, rice wine vinegar, honey, garlic powder, and ground ginger, mixing well to combine.
  • Gently toss or spoon the marinade over the salmon to coat it evenly. Let sit for 10–15 minutes to marinate.
  • Preheat the air fryer to 350° F.
  • Transfer the marinated salmon fillets to the air fryer basket, skin-side down.
  • Air fry for 8–10 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
  • Garnish with toasted sesame seeds and diced green onion (optional) and serve warm.

Notes

You can discard the marinade or boil it and drizzle it over the cooked salmon before serving
Storage Instructions
Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat in the air fryer for 2–3 minutes to bring back the texture.
You can freeze the cooked salmon, but I don’t recommend freezing it raw in the marinade.
Make Ahead: If you want to prep ahead, just make the marinade and refrigerate it separately.
