Caprese Salad Dressing Recipe

Nothing beats a Caprese Salad, but you it's even better when you dress those ripe tomatoes, fresh mozzarella, and sweet basil with a homemade garlic balsamic dressing! The perfect caprese salad dressing.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb Bocconcini (baby mozzarella balls) drained and patted dry
  • 1 lb grape tomatoes washed and halved
  • 12 large basil leaves chiffonade
  • salt to taste (mostly on the tomatoes)
  • black pepper freshly cracked, to taste

for the dressing-

  • 1 clove garlic grated
  • 4 tsp dijon mustard
  • 4 tbsp balsamic vinegar
  • 7 tbsp olive oil
  • salt to taste
  • black pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Place bocconcini (mini mozzarella balls) and tomatoes on a serving platter, arranging them in blocks of color. Sprinkle the fresh basil all over. Season with salt and freshly cracked black pepper.
  • Measure all ingredients for dressing into a small jar with tight-fitting lid. Shake and drizzle over salad. Serve immediately.
