Pigs in a Blanket with Crescent Rolls
A classic appetizer for kids and adults alike, Pigs in a Blanket will be the first thing you run out of at your next party. Simply roll mini sausages in a crescent roll and bake! Dijon mustard or shredded cheese, along with coarse salt take these over the top!

8 count refrigerated crescent rolls 14 oz mini cocktail wieners recommended Hillshire Lil' Smokies 2 tablespoons dijon mustard optional 1/4 cup cheddar cheese shredded, optional 2 tablespoons butter melted, optional 1 teaspoon coarse sea salt for sprinkling, optional
Preheat oven to 375° F
Roll out and cut each crescent roll triangle into three triangles.
Spread mustard on inside of each triangle. Sprinkle with shredded cheese.
Place each mini sausage onto the larger end of each crescent roll triangle.
Roll the crescent starting at the larger end and into smaller end.
Transfer to baking sheet, brush with melted butter and salt (optional).
Bake for 9-12 minutes or until golden brown.
Makes 24 pigs in a blanket total. Please note that you may have a few mini sausages left over.
Storage Instructions
Make Ahead : Assemble and refrigerate (covered) up to 4 hours before baking.
Refrigerator : Store baked leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven at 350° F for 5 minutes.
Freezer : Bake, cool, then freeze on a tray. Once frozen, transfer to a bag. Reheat straight from frozen at 350° F for 12-15 minutes.
