Ingredients

  • 12 sweet Hawaiian rolls
  • 11 slices mozzarella cheese
  • 4 oz sliced pepperoni
  • 1 cup ground Italian sausage cooked
  • 3/4 cup pizza sauce
  • 2 tablespoons butter melted
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 400° F. Line a baking sheet or baking dish with parchment paper. Set aside.
  • Add the cooked sausage and pizza sauce to a small bowl and stir to combine. Set aside.
  • Without separating the rolls, cut the tops off with a serrated knife and place the bottom half of the rolls on the baking sheet.
  • Arrange 5 slices of cheese on the bottom layer of rolls, then bake in the preheated oven for about 5 minutes, until the cheese melts.
  • Remove from oven and arrange the pepperoni evenly on the bottom layer of rolls and cheese.
  • Spread the sausage sauce mixture evenly over the pepperoni.
  • Lay the remaining 6 slices of cheese on top of the meat mixture, and place the top layer of rolls on top.
  • Brush the melted butter over the rolls and sprinkle the desired amount of Italian seasoning and garlic powder over the top.
  • Bake the sliders in the preheated oven for 15 minutes or until the tops are golden brown. Serve warm.
