Sugar Cookie Blossoms

These Sugar Cookie Blossoms are a twist on regular peanut butter blossoms that we all know and love. Topped with a delicious orange sugar and Hershey Kisses!

Ingredients

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 400° F.
  • In large bowl, using an electric hand mixer, cream butter and sugar together until smooth.
  • Whip in egg and vanilla extract until light and fluffy, 2 minutes.
  • Slowly stir in remaining ingredients until combined. Set aside.  
  • On a small plate, combine sugar and orange zest.
  • Using a cookie scoop, drop cookie dough into orange sugar and roll around lightly to coat.
  • Place on un-greased cookie sheet and bake 8-10 minutes or until bottoms are just barely starting to brown.
  • While cookies are baking, unwrap Hersheys Kisses.
  • Remove baking sheet from oven and carefully press a Hershey's Kiss into center of each warm cookie.
  • Cool for 5 minutes on the hot baking sheet and then remove to cooling racks.

Notes

*You could also add in some pumpkin pie spice too! Yum! I didn't, but feel free to switch it up! I don't know if this will make the sugar look less orange and more brown or vice versa. Experiment and let me know :)
