peppermint dip on a plate with graham crackers, nanaimo bars and hershey's kisses

This past weekend, I was in Park City, Utah for a little mini blogger conference/event. It was cold, but soooooo much fun. Whilst I was there, my kids had a grand old time with their cousins at my sisters’ place in Idaho.

Saturday afternoon rolls around {in the midst of all this business} and my sister texts me in a panic.

My 4 year old daughter and her 4 year old daughter had cut each others’ hair. {This is one of the many reasons you should follow me on Instagram. Just sayin’.} Brooke got short bangs and her poor cousin got a mullet. One quick emergency trip to the hair stylist and things were all better again….or as better as they could be! Lol! My sister felt horrible about the whole situation, but I thought it was HILARIOUS. Seriously could not stop laughing.

And, I sort of felt bad too because her poor cousin got the worst hair cut out of the two of them. Forreals. Straight up mullet.

I guess almost every kid does this at some point in their lives, so I’m glad we have LOTS of documentation 😉 It’ll make a great story when she gets older.

Anyways, before I left for Utah, I made my nieces and nephew this fun little dip. All the girls loved unwrapping the kisses for me and kept asking to stir. It was so much fun being in the kitchen with them! They are the sweetest! And, they loved this dip too. Only 3 ingredients goes into this and it’s ready under 10 minutes! It would be perfect for any upcoming holiday parties for sure.

Little girl with mouthful of dip

Here’s how you do it:Start by unwrapping 40 Candy Cane Hershey kisses….these are some of my favorites during Christmas. Melt these down until completely smooth.Stir in some softened cream cheese and then a container of marshmallow cream. Things will look light and fluffy right about now…..Pour this into a serving container and get some fun goodies to dip. I used graham crackers and brownie pieces. Hello deliciousness. Super sticky, super pepperminty and fabulously marshmallo-y. That’s totally a word, PS.My nieces and nephew LOVED it…especially this little one. COME ON. How cute is this girl? Forreals. #bestillmyovaries

Anyways, here’s the ridiculously easy recipe as a printable. Enjoy 🙂

This looks great. I was thinking it might be nice to make brownies and frost them with the dip. Do you think that would work on room temp brownies or do you think it would just melt?

Oh, that’s a great idea! I’m not sure how it would hold up, but I would expect it to firm up in the fridge because of the cream cheese.

One of my oldest friends and I cut each other’s hair right before kindergarten picture day. It’s one of my mother’s favorite pictures now, it wasn’t 30 years ago.

Hey Lauren! I came across this recipe while searching for marshmallow dips to serve at a baby shower. I just finished making the dip, and it turned out great! I thought the texture was perfect and didn’t even add the marshmallow fluff. Thanks for posting.

Lol, this totally cracked me up because I cut my hair when I was little and seriously just chopped the sides off sooo short. Then to make it worse my mom gave me to poof bangs of the 80’s… Business in the front, party in the back! Hahaha!

I’m so thankful I haven’t had a kid haircut incident yet…it does seem to be one of those rites of childhood passage though! Love this dip – dunking brownie pieces in it would be dangerously good 🙂
