Macro Friendly Blue Cheese Bacon Burgers
Summer is still in full swing in my neck of the woods which means we are still grilling our little hearts out! I made some killer Blue Cheese Bacon Burgers because I felt like I wanted a treat and this certainly hit the spot! Topped with Bolthouse Farms blue cheese dressing and a few light blue cheese crumbles makes a delicious difference!
Ingredients
- 2 pounds 96/4 ground beef
- 2 tablespoons Hamburger Seasoning (I used McCormick Hamburger GrillMates)
- 6 slices thick cut bacon I used Kroger brand
- 6 plain hamburger buns I used Wonder
- 12 tablespoons Bolthouse Farms Blue Cheese Yogurt Dressing 3/4 cup
- 6 tablespoons Reduced Fat Blue Cheese Crumbles
- lettuce and tomato if desired
Equipment
- BBQ grill
Instructions
- Preheat BBQ Grill. In a large bowl, mix ground beef with hamburger seasoning (you can add more if desired.) Divide meat into 6 even portions and form into large patties that are slightly thinner in the centers than they are at the edges to promote even cooking.
- Grill burgers to desired doneness. Remove from grill and tent with foil to rest.
- While burgers are resting, cook bacon. Drain on paper towels.
- To assemble, open up a hamburger bun. Add lettuce and tomato, a slice of bacon cut into two, a hamburger patty, 2 tablespoons blue cheese dressing and 1 tablespoon blue cheese crumbles. Add the top bun and enjoy.
