But First, What is a Mocktail?

A mocktail is a non-alcoholic mixed drink reminiscent of a cocktail! Traditionally this type of beverage is made up of fruit juices and soft drinks. Served cold and garnished with fruits and sometimes herbs, mocktails are a fun and tasty alternative to alcoholic beverages.

Holiday Mocktails | Perfect for Kids!

Since this mocktail recipe is made without alcohol, it is safe to serve to women who are pregnant, underage friends, teens and kids alike! More specifically, this recipe I am sharing with you today is just perfect for the Holiday season (whether that be Thanksgiving OR Christmas).

So if you are getting together with friends this season or keeping it tight knit with just family, be sure that everyone can be included in the fun, the toasts and the drinking!

Main Ingredients Needed

Pick up these ingredients next time you’re at the grocery store in preparation for Thanksgiving/Christmas/New Years Eve:

  • Cranberry Juice – cranberries by themselves can be pretty tart, however cranberry juice only has traces of tartness while really spotlighting that wonderful cranberry flavor we all love.
  • Hawaiian Punch – this adds sweetness and a mix of orange and berry flavors. Big thumbs up from the kids on this one.
  • Peach Juice – you could also use pineapple or orange juice depending on your preferences.
  • Sparkling Water – this is to add bubbly texture to the mocktails. 7-UP is also a great option.
  • Ice – to keep the drinks cold for hours! No one likes a lukewarm mocktail.
  • Garnishes – I garnished my drinks with maraschino cherries, cranberries and lime slices! Mint sprigs are also a classy option.

How to Make Festive Holiday Mocktails!

One of the best parts about making mocktails is that they are so easy to make! For full details, including increments, see the recipe card down below.

  1. In a large punch bowl, stir all ingredients together.
  2. Add ice into glasses and ladle punch into each glass.
  3. Top with any desired garnishes and serve.

Can You Make Mocktails in Advance?

You absolutely can make this mocktail recipe ahead of time. However the only thing you need to worry about it the sparkling water/7-UP going flat.

To avoid this, simply mix all of the juices together minus any carbonated ingredients. When ready to serve, add the sparkling water and garnish as desired!
