Strawberry Limeade | With Mint
The other day, it was this sweet elixir in my hand, and just like that, I was back to laying out on the beach in Miami. Funny how that works. If you need a vacation in a glass/a sweet refreshing summer drink, Strawberry Limeade is your ticket. Try it and let me know what you think.
Main Ingredients Needed For Strawberry Limeade
This strawberry limeade recipe is made from a couple of simple ingredients that can be quickly picked up ordered from the store if you don’t already have them. Here’s what you’ll need plus substitutions if going to the store isn’t in the cards for you:
- Fresh Strawberries – these are muddled in the liquid and also used as a garnish. You could use any type of berry here, so use what you have on hand.
- Mint Leaves – you could leave these out if you didn’t want them but they add a refreshing taste to the drink.
- Agave Nectar – if you don’t have this, replace it with honey or sugar. Make sure to dissolve well!
- Fresh Lime Juice – this puts the lime in limeade! I prefer freshly squeezed lime juice but if all you have is the storebought pre-squeezed stuff that works too.
- Cold Water – cold water means you can enjoy your drink sooner.
- Ice – ice, ice baby. Used to keep your drink cold. If you don’t like ice, don’t add it.

How to Make Strawberry Limeade | Directions
Super easy recipe here! Strawberry Limeade is made by muddling the strawberries and mint together then mixing with the liquids. For the full recipe see the recipe card down below!
Step 1: Muddle Strawberries + Mint Leaves Together
Place strawberries and the mint leaves into the bottom of a pitcher. Using a wooden spoon or another object, mash and muddle them together to create a paste. {You could also blitz in a food processor as well.}
Step 2: Stir In Remaining Ingredients
Stir in agave, lime juice, and cold water. Taste and adjust to your liking. Pour over ice and garnish with more strawberries and mint.
How long does this drink last?
Just a few days in the fridge until the strawberries begin to wilt and soften. So, make Strawberry Limeade fresh and drink up!

ooo how refreshing!! Can I sub honey for the agave??! I bet this would be a great base for a poolside cocktail, too!
sure!
Motherhood makes me want to do that too, especially now that it’s summer vacation. I’ll be hiding in the bathroom with my computer A LOT…
How refreshing!! Love it!!
love your photos! these drinks look so good!
This truly is the perfect summer drink. A vacation in a glass, love that!
Looks like summer in a glass, I love it!
This is a perfect summer drink!
This sounds amazing. I might just cheat and use the limeade concentrate that I have in the freezer though. I know, I know probably not even close to tasting as good as the “real stuff”. BUT if it means that I can have it in the next few minutes without taking my little “angels” out to the grocery (thus increasing the need to add alcohol to it as well before noon) than that’s what I’m going to do! I couldn’t relate more to this post. 🙂
What can be substituted for the agave?
Add some gin and I am good….
This looks so delicious!! Yum!
