A fast 10-minute side dish for any meal, these Cheesy Garlic Bread Pull Apart Rolls will make you fall in love with carbs and cheese all over again. Use store bought kaiser rolls and homemade garlic butter for best results!
So, I love carbs.
This should be no surprise to anyone.
I also love cheese.
Mystery of the last 5 pounds I can’t lose SOLVED.
So, I’m sure you’ve all seen these garlic cheesy pull apart loaves that are floating around the internets. Well, I’ve made a quicker, easier, and mini version that will blow your mind. Literally ready to eat in about 10 minutes.
These little rolls are just as good as the huge version, but made with small kaiser rolls. So, everyone gets their own personalized garlic cheesy bread loaf to eat with whatever else you made for dinner. Spaghetti or Lasagna would be my first two choices 🙂
OR, just make this as your main course. Not a bad way to go either! Lol!
Here’s how to make them:
Start by cutting some slats into some small kaiser rolls 3/4 inch down. Then cut slats perpendicular to the other slats to crate bread sticks….sort of. Set these aside.
For the garlic butter, simply melt some butter, italian seasoning and grated garlic all together in the microwave. SO simple. If you don’t have italian seasoning, use my recipe listed below 🙂
Brush the rolls liberally and be sure to get into all those nooks and crannies.
For the cheese, I used a combination of mozzarella and cheddar, but feel free to use what you have on hand.
Stir it together if you feel so inclined and stuff the rolls with all this CHEESE!
Just like so.
Bake these babies off in a hot oven for mayyyybe 5 minutes and you are ready for a tasty treat! Beware: you may burn your fingers and/or mouth if you dive in too soon! Not that I speak from experience or anything. #wompwomp
Anyways, this stuff is amazing! Try it out tonight and prepare to be amazed 🙂 YUM.
Cheesy Garlic Bread Pull Apart Rolls
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Place kaiser rolls onto a sheet tray lined with foil. Cut 1 inch sections 3/4 of the way down into the rolls one way and then more slits perpendicular the other way.
- Melt butter with garlic and seasonings in the microwave and brush tops of rolls liberally. Sprinkle with cheese, being sure to get some into the cracks and crevices. Bake 4-5 minutes or until cheese has melted and bread it hot. Cool a few minutes before serving, especially to kids! Or impatient husbands.....cough cough Gordon.
- *if you do not have italian seasoning, use 1/4 teaspoon oregano, 1/4 teaspoon basil, 1/4 teaspoon parsley flakes and 1/4 teaspoon thyme
