Cheesy Garlic Pull Apart Rolls

So, I love carbs.

This should be no surprise to anyone.

I also love cheese.

Mystery of the last 5 pounds I can’t lose SOLVED.

Just when you think I’ve shared every recipe there is to share involving carbs and cheese, I think of another! {See here, here, here and here for proof.}

So, I’m sure you’ve all seen these garlic cheesy pull apart loaves that are floating around the internets. Well, I’ve made a quicker, easier, and mini version that will blow your mind. Literally ready to eat in about 10 minutes.

These little rolls are just as good as the huge version, but made with small kaiser rolls. So, everyone gets their own personalized garlic cheesy bread loaf to eat with whatever else you made for dinner. Spaghetti or Lasagna would be my first two choices 🙂

OR, just make this as your main course. Not a bad way to go either! Lol!

Here’s how to make them:

Cheesy Garlic Bread Pull Apart Rolls

Start by cutting some slats into some small kaiser rolls 3/4 inch down. Then cut slats perpendicular to the other slats to crate bread sticks….sort of. Set these aside.

Garlic Butter

For the garlic butter, simply melt some butter, italian seasoning and grated garlic all together in the microwave. SO simple. If you don’t have italian seasoning, use my recipe listed below 🙂

Garlic Butter on Rolls

Brush the rolls liberally and be sure to get into all those nooks and crannies.

Two types of cheese in a bowl shredded

For the cheese, I used a combination of mozzarella and cheddar, but feel free to use what you have on hand.

Two types of cheese in a bowl shredded mixed

Stir it together if you feel so inclined and stuff the rolls with all this CHEESE!

Cheese on top of buttered rolls

Just like so.

Bake these babies off in a hot oven for mayyyybe 5 minutes and you are ready for a tasty treat! Beware: you may burn your fingers and/or mouth if you dive in too soon! Not that I speak from experience or anything. #wompwomp

Anyways, this stuff is amazing! Try it out tonight and prepare to be amazed 🙂 YUM.

Lauren, I was looking for a “break” recipe to go along with our Christmas Eve traditional pasta dinner. This year I am making lasagna and these will go along perfect.

Thanks! Off to look at more pasta recipes too!

Thanks Lauren, I was looking for a “bread” recipe to use along with our Christmas Eve traditional pasta meal. This year I’m doing lasagna and this will go along well.

Off to search your pasta meals too! Thanks!

I’ve always made these with 1 BIG round bread and was so glad when I found this recipe for 4 small rolls. This way, I don’t have to fight off anyone for my lion’s share. They are great!!

Ok Lauren, you trying to give me that mystery 5 pounds?? 😀 I have a feeling eating this, will be well worth it!

  6. Julia King

Wowww this looks so tasty I’m going to make it for my family tomorrow night 🙂

Thanks for sharing all your recipes Lauren I’m a big fan. I’ve printed them out and fixed them to my fridge for easy access.

Nowadays I’m eating very healthy but this is the perfect cheat meal for me.

It wasn’t long ago when I was getting comments about how much weight I’d gained during pregnancy. But the worst thing was after I gave birth the weight stayed on.. in fact I continued to gain weight to the point I was considered obese by my doctor.

At one point I spent ONE HOUR per day jogging and hired a nutritionist but after losing 15lbs my body refused to change any more. It was very mentally draining and de-motivating.

Things turned around for me one day when I was at the salon, a friend came in as she did each week and she looked like she had lost weight.. she looked better than she did in high school. I asked her how in the world she lost weight so quickly.

She said that she was watching Oprah (or maybe it was Dr Oz I can’t remember).. but they were discussing a new diet program that was said to be the most effective and had won some awards. After some research I found the site. After watching the video and starting the program the results were amazing. I would highly recommend it to everyone.

Anyways, sorry for the ultra-long comment. I don’t usually write so much. But I just truly hope this information will help others.

    Have a blessed day!

    Your friend,

    Julia

Oh my gosh I am dying right now. I MUST MAKE THESE SOON!!!! I love the idea of doing this in a roll-version. I have always wanted to make pull-apart bread, but it seemed like such a big indulgence because I have ZERO self-control. I would totally eat at least half of it myself. Why didn’t I think of rolls? This is a totally manageable portion and when it’s gone, it’s gone! Such a great idea!

  8. Malinda @countrysidecravings

I am a carboholic myself and that would probably be why I can’t seem to get the baby weight off but I would rather blame it on the pregnancy. Now these cheesy buns of glory are looking way better than the bigger version because you don’t have to fight for the space right in front of it!

  9. SaraLily

Oh lordie, I’d eat the entire tray so easily. I love me some carbs too! Especially the bread or pasta kind! 😉

  10. Taylor @ Food Faith Fitness

Carbs and cheese are my major weakness…yet, I have never made pull apart rolls. Clearly I have been deprived my whole love and need to eat the whole thing to make up for lost ground. Pinning!
Thanks for Indulge last weekend – it was a blast!
