Ordinary brownies are transformed into extraordinary Oreo Brownies by topping them with an easy cream cheese frosting with crushed Oreos. Which reminds me of my Oreo Magic Bars!
Oreo Brownies | Made from a Box!
Here is a recipe I whipped up last week that my family devoured. Literally devoured. No leftovers. {Are there ever dessert leftovers in my house? Haha….never!}
Do you know how on the back of the brownie mix boxes, there are directions to make cookies? Well, for this recipe, you do just that but instead of making cookies, you bake the whole thing in a square pan. Then you top ’em with cream cheese frosting and oreo cookies to give you….drumroll, please… Oreo Brownies! {Sounds tasty, right?}
Main Ingredients Needed
Crunchy, creamy, chocolate, vanilla….it’s a little bit of everything! Oh, and did I mention that these are healthy? Well they are! 🙂 And by healthy I mean easy. Very very easy! Take a look at the ingredients list and you’ll see what I mean.
- Brownie Mix – I used Duncan Hines fudgy brownies (with eggs + butter), but honestly, my brownie recipe is just as good. Your choice, homemade or from a box, either works great.
- Eggs + Butter – these two are used if you are making the brownies from a box.
- White Chocolate Chips – this is mixed into the brownie batter! Yummy creamy sweet morsels in every bite!
For the Frosting
- Cream Cheese + Butter – these two create a smooth base for the frosting. Plus the cream cheese brings some tangy flavors.
- Powdered Sugar – to sweeten and thicken the frosting.
- Vanilla – to flavor.
- Milk – this thins out the frosting so it’s spreadable.
- Oreos – everything is topped with Oreos! Feel free to add these to the batter too. Oreo overload!

These sound right up my husbands alley! He loves all the things cookies n cream as well. I will have to try these this weekend for our anniversary!
I made these brownies a couple times and they are always the first to go. My husband loves anything with Oreos and the addition of the brownie takes it over the top. I’ve been following Lauren’s Latest for at least 7 years, maybe more, and it’s very inspiring and positive.

Thanks for your Cookies N Cream Brownies recipe. I made them tonight and my family loved them!

Ha! look at that last picture! Awesome! And ps. these brownies are dangerous.
They are totally dangerous! I ate almost the entire pan. No joke.
Yum…these look fabulous…I love anything that has cookies and cream in it! When I first saw them I thought there was peanuts in the brownie layer and I just about died with excitement, but after reading the recipe, I realized they are white chocolate chips. Still, it looks like a must-try recipe!
Oh, great idea! Now I need to make this again with peanuts!
These look fabulous! Glad you’re having a great time.
Ooo these look so good!! Yum!
Mmmm I’m with you. I also love cookies and cream anything! Yum!
Love it… very creative. If you don’t mind me asking, what mix did you use?
I used Duncan Hines fudgy brownies…19 ounces I think…?!
What a great idea! I love cookies ‘n cream anything!! Enjoy the time with your family.

Your sister must have been so excited! Have a great time.
These look AMAZING.
I just fell out of my chair.
Have fun seeing sissy!
YUM. My sister is planning a Cookie Monster birthday for her 2-year-old boy in October. She wants to serve only cookies – but this might be a nice addition, while keeping with the cookie theme!
What a fun party idea!
Awwwww what a fun surprise! She will take that memory with her to college and be so grateful for it! Such a sweet family 🙂
I’d post some pictures, but she forbade me! Typical teenager! Lol!
Ditto the above–cookies ‘n’ cream is my FAVORITE classic ice cream flavor. These look so yummy! I’ve made cookies ‘n’ cream brownies before, but I’ve never added white chocolate chips–totally on my to-do list. 🙂
I love those kinds of to-do lists!
Totally love this recipe! I’m a sucker for cookies ‘n cream anything!
Yeah, me too! That’s why I ate half the pan!
Sounds incredibly tasty! Have fun with your family.
