If you’ve got leftover Baked Ham from Easter or Christmas hanging out in your fridge, this Deviled Ham is the perfect way to use it up. It’s my absolute go-to when I want to breathe new life into that holiday ham. It’s quick, flavorful, and makes an easy lunch you can pull together in minutes.

Ingredient Notes
- Ham – Thick sliced ham or chunks of leftover ham work beautifully. Pulse it in a food processor just enough so it’s finely minced but still textured.
- Celery – Adds a crisp bite that brightens up the spread.
- Dill Pickles – Bring that classic tangy flavor deviled ham is known for. Finely dice so the flavor distributes evenly.
- Yellow Onion – Sharp and savory in the best way. Dice it small so it blends right in.
- Real Mayonnaise – The creamy base that ties everything together.
- Salt + Black Pepper – Season to taste. The ham already carries some saltiness, so adjust after mixing.

How to Make Deviled Ham
Deviled ham comes together fast. Just chop, stir, and serve. The food processor does the heavy lifting, then everything gets tossed together in one bowl. For full recipe details, including ingredient measurements, see the printable recipe card down below.
1. Mince the Ham
Place the ham into a food processor and pulse until finely minced. Stop before it becomes pasty. You want a spreadable texture with a little structure.

Pro Tip: If it’s not coming together, add a splash of pickle juice, lemon juice, or white vinegar and blitz again.
2. Combine Ingredients
Transfer the ham to a large bowl. Add celery, dill pickles, onion, and mayonnaise. Stir everything together until well combined. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.

3. Serve!
Serve on sandwich bread, on rolls, in a wrap, on pita, with crackers, or with a spoon!

Tips for Success
- Pulse the ham in short bursts so it stays minced instead of turning into a paste.
- Dice the vegetables very small so the texture stays balanced.
- Chill the mixture for 30 minutes before serving if you want the flavors to meld even more.
- Taste before adding salt. Ham already brings plenty of seasoning.

What to Serve with Deviled Ham
- Homemade Crackers – Classic and perfect for scooping up this creamy ham salad.
- Easy Sandwich Bread – When toasted, makes a hearty deviled ham sandwich.
- Homemade Kettle Chips – A salty crunch that pairs well with the creamy spread.
- Deviled Eggs – Another classic party favorite that fits right in.
- Homemade Dill Pickles– A crisp, tangy side that echoes the flavors in the spread.
Deviled ham is simple, flavorful, and surprisingly versatile. One quick batch turns into sandwiches, snack boards, or easy lunches throughout the week. The printable recipe card is below. Have a great day, friends!

Storage Instructions
Store deviled ham in an airtight container in the refrigerator up to 4 days. Stir before serving if any moisture separates. Freezing is not recommended since the mayonnaise base changes texture after thawing. Make ahead by preparing the mixture up to 24 hours in advance and refrigerating until ready to serve.Nutrition
Variations
- Swap dill pickles with sweet relish for a sweeter version
- Use green onion or red onion instead of yellow or sweet
- Add a hard-boiled egg, chopped finely, for more protein
- Mix in a touch of mustard, lemon juice or pickle juice for a little zing
- Toss in a dash of hot sauce if you like some heat
- Add in other veggies for more color and flavor- bell peppers, cucumber, carrots, tomato
- For a lighter option, try light sour cream or plain Greek yogurt in place of mayonnaise. Greek yogurt adds protein and a fresh tang that pairs nicely with smoky ham, and a squeeze of lemon juice blends in beautifully for extra brightness.

I just put ham, celery, & onion through food grinder then mix in rest.
I make this all the time but i grind my ham in food processor and use relish in place of pickle.
