When you want to dress up your bagel, crackers, or sandwich, try this super easy and flavorful Herb and Garlic Cream Cheese Spread! Try it on my Homemade Bagels or on some Butter Drop Biscuits.

Herb and Garlic Cream Cheese | 5 Ingredients
This dip/spread is a super-fancy-super-easy-rather-delightful-anyone-can-make-this kind of thing. An amazing schmear for that bagel/sandwich/cracker you so conveniently happen to have in your hand. I just KNEW you’d have your half-made lunch ready and waiting for me!
Only five ingredients for the most amazing Herb and Garlic Cream Cheese….mixed up in a bowl…that takes 5 minutes to make…that ends up tasting good enough to sell your firstborn child… Oh em gee.
Main Ingredients Needed
Here is what you’ll need to whip together this quick Herb and Garlic Cream Cheese:
- Cream Cheese – our creamy tangy base.
- Chives + Parsley + Lemon Zest- sharp, zingy, and fresh!
- Garlic- finely minced. I love using fresh garlic for this recipe but the pre-minced stuff works too.
- Salt & Pepper- to taste.

How to Make Herb and Garlic Cream Cheese | Directions
Really all you do is throw all these ingredients into a bowl and stir. The lemon and garlic combo with the cold and creamy cream cheese is taste bud heaven. And the parsley and chives adds a nice little zing too. Scroll down to see what I made with this cream cheese…
Step 1: Chop Parsley + Chives
Chop parsley and chives.
Step 2: Add Lemon Zest + Garlic
Zest lemon and finely mince garlic.
Step 3: Combine With Cream Cheese
Combine parsley, chives, lemon zest and garlic with cream cheese. Add salt and pepper to taste. Mix well until all incorporated. Ready to serve!

Storing Herb and Garlic Cream Cheese
If you have leftovers, store Herb and Garlic Cream Cheese in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week.
Open-Faced Turkey Sammy Idea
I ended up making a little open-faced turkey sammy of sorts with this cream cheese spread on a flatbread, some smoked mesquite turkey and some micro greens {sprouts, alf alfa, spinach etc} on top. SO yummy and perfect for a snack, light lunch or appetizers for a party! How cute would these be at a baby shower or bridal luncheon?

Thanks for the post. It’s a Saturday. My college-age son will be waking up at sometime after noon. I’m wondering what to make him to eat. Trying to make do with what I already have. I have sliced smoked turkey, Naan bread, 4 ounces of cream cheese, half a lemon and garlic cloves. I Googled and your recipe came up. I don’t have the chives or fresh parsley, but I can figure something out from the dry spices I have or just forgo a;ll that part.
It’s really helpful to have an idea of how much zest and garlic to add to the cream cheese. So glad I found your post!
Trying to find the receipt w/bacon, spighette, cream cheese olives ,& peppers summer salad earlier today or yesrerday.
