Inspired by my Buffalo Chicken Dip, these tasty cheesy Buffalo Chicken Fries will be a welcome snack for your family and friends. It’s even on the healthier side, enjoy!
Buffalo Chicken Fries | Perfect Appetizer
These Buffalo Chicken Fries are pretty stellar. Lots of cheese, lots of spicy, buttery buffalo chicken, and a lovely little bright taste from the cilantro too. These would be great for the Super Bowl or other sports-related events {that I know nothing about}. Or, just as a late-night snack. So yummy and almost guilt-free because the fries are low-cal!!
Main Ingredients Needed
One day for dinner I got lazy and made this recipe! Cheesy Buffalo Chicken Fries. Remember the buffalo phase I went through whilst I was pregnant with this little babe of mine? Well, the need to douse everything in hot sauce and butter has returned. Here’s what you’ll need:
- Frozen Crinkle Cut Fries – Alexia sent me a few bags of their latest and greatest Smart Classics to try just for fun. No this is not a paid post. I just love a good fry, especially one that is a little more on the healthy side.
- Butter – for flavor and to help the hot sauce stick to the chicken.
- Hot Sauce – use a hot sauce that you absolutely love for the best results.
- Rotisserie Chicken – a quick and tasty shortcut. Feel free to cook your own chicken.
- Provolone Cheese – shredded or a few slices, this brings flavor but also helps tone down the heat.
- Blue Cheese – the perfect combo to go with buffalo chicken.
- Cilantro – optional as a garnish.

While fries are baking, melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Stir in hot sauce. Toss chicken in mixture to coat and heat through. Turn heat down to low to keep warm.
Top with Chicken + Cheeses
Once fries are crispy and finished baking, Sprinkle with provolone, chicken pieces, and blue cheese crumbles.

Cook 2-3 minutes or until cheese is melted. Top with cilantro and more hot sauce. Serve immediately.
How to Serve
Buffalo Chicken Fries fall in between the main dish, a side dish, and an appetizer. Because of this, it is perfect as dinner with a slaw side to cool things down, or as any other type of dish. It is not limited to the time of day. If you’re craving it, like I was, make it!
