Sweet-Sour-Meatballs-the-perfect-and-easiest-appetizer-everHappy {almost} New Year! How many of you are going to parties tonight? Wow. That many?!

Is it just me or does everything about motherhood and pregnancy scream “get to bed by 9 pm”? Yes, I’ve turned into one of those old married couples. But in my defense, I’m still getting used to this time zone change. Visiting my parents for 2+ weeks in a place that is 3 hours ahead really throws me in a funk. Basically, my body clock is rejecting the pacific time zone with a passion. Anyways, for those of you throwing parties or going to parties tonight, here are some of my very favorite appetizers EVER. They are all pretty simple to throw together and are 3-year old approved. Win win, ya’ll! To start, try throwing these Sweet & Sour Meatballs together this afternoon and letting them hang out in a crockpot until your party. The longer they cook, the more magical they become. So amazing 🙂

Jalapeno Artichoke Dip

This Jalapeno Artichoke Dip is really simple to throw together and you can make it as spicy as you like.

Enchilada Stuffed Mushrooms

Ahh, old faithful! I am so in love with these Enchilada Stuffed Mushrooms. Even though I posted these months ago, I still day dream about them. Is that weird? Don’t answer that.

Ham Cheese Deviled Eggs

These little Broiled Ham & Cheese Deviled Eggs were made with all my leftover hard boiled eggs from Easter, but would make a fabulous finger food for New Years. Everyone loves a good deviled egg.

Stromboli is like a portable pizza. Start with my Failproof Pizza Dough, then fill it with whatever toppings you’d like! Turns out perfectly every time and always a big hit.

Thai Chicken Bites

Love love love these Thai Chicken Bites. So simple and a huge hit.

Restaurant Style Salsa with Baked Lime Tortilla Chips from Lauren's Latest

This Restaurant Style Salsa with Baked Lime Tortilla Chips

is a great appetizer to make in advance and just have out for all your guests. It’s fresh and tasty!

BBQ Chicken NachosAnd I couldn’t post a New Years recipe roundup without my favorite BBQ Chicken Nachos! These are sweet, tangy cheesy and too good to be true. You must must make these! Totally worth it.

Anyways, those are some of my favorites! What are you making for your party tonight? Enjoy, friends! Hope 2012 was good to you and praying 2013 is even better!

Happy New Year!

I was looking at an old GH magazine. “Beat the scramble with Parmesan, bacon, and egg cups. Bake in a muffin tin…” But I can’t find the recipe here. It was for a shower brunch.

I live for appetizers! I must confess that I love your blog, it definitely one of my very favorite food blogs in the entire blog-universe. Your unique writer’s voice and phenomenal photos inspire me.

We didn’t do a thing for New Years (but pack and watch Back to the Future after the 3 year old went to bed). 🙂 BUT, I am bookmarking many of these for NFL playoff season! Happy new year, Lauren!

I am definitely an appetizer girl … I’d rather nibble on appetizers than eat a full meal. Happy New Year to you, and all the best in 2013!

I’m so with you – kids have turned me into an old lady. They’re sucking the energy out of me lol. Love this list! I was actually eyeing your mushrooms earlier today. Have a happy new year!
